There is much propoganda and mixed press about red meat, we will leave it upto you to make your mind up wether you believe the pros outweigh the cons or not, But here’s the main benefits to eating red meats and why we recommend it. The protein in steak helps you retain muscle mass during weight loss and ensures strong lean muscles and healthy hormones. Red meats are a great source of vital vitamins and minerals such as Iron, Zinc, Magnesium and one of the best sources for Vitamin B12, which is crucial for blood and a healthy nervous system. Your body absorbs these minerals much easier from red meats compared to those stored in grains and pulses.
Researchers from Stanford University in California say that Steaks store a lot of Selenium which apparently reduces a mans risk of prostate cancer.

A new study shows that a protein-rich diet could help you get more out of an exercise program, compared to the usual and often favorite high-carb, energy bars, pasta and such taken before exercise for a quick long lasting energy boost. Also, a study showed that 30 test people replaced complex carbs such as pasta, rice and wholemeal bread with a high protein diet including dairy products and meat, lost more body fat and muscle tone was improved.

Try to consume local organic beef, it’s healthier for you as the cows are fed on grass and not corn by-products, and it helps the environment.

Some recommended healthy ways to eat beef;
